Fortunately, Brad was able to think beyond the 20 hour car ride with four kids and make a fun trip out of it, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery and go on some gorgeous hikes. The kids LOVED it, despite the DVD player being broken.
I wasn't able to think beyond traveling with five kids all packed in a minivan like sardines for 20 hours. So, Ruby and I flew to Phoenix and drove 4 1/2 hours to Lake Powell with my sister Jenny and her family.

What great pictures of Brad's drive out with the kids. Just think, in Vegas we'll only be a short drive from all that hiking. :)
